October 14th was also 'I Love Yarn Day', and there was no one who loved yarn more than Daisy Elf. She had a huge collection of yarns... ...and loved to crochet colourful afghans. She was working away the threads on her newest creation. When her daughter Emily came in to see what she was working on.... Emily liked to help if she could... "Well, I'm almost out of white yarn. Maybe you could get me some more... ...off that shelf over there." So Emily climbed up the ladder... "Is this the one?" "Yes, Sweetie." "Maybe you could teach me to crochet?" "Then I can make pretty blankets too." "Just like you."

I really love these tiny elves. They make such a great contrast to my larger realistic dolls.

Yes, the number of mini afghans keeps growing. I find them very relaxing to work on when there's no other handwork in the evenings.
