And finally, a picture of Peach in her 'Princess' dress. She wanted to be Cinderella,
so I made her a gown like the blue one in the recent movie.

She is a beautiful Cinderella! I think this is the prettiest Peach has ever looked. The style and colour of her dress and the way her hair curls around her face is lovely.

Thanks! But I don't know about this girl. Something always seems to be 'off' with her. It's like 'her look' is always just out of reach. So I went to the trouble to make her a Cinderella dress, but it doesn't help. I thought my Lisa looked so much better in it. I even got Peach a new wig, but I think she still looks best with a hat. I hate to admit it, but I much prefer my other two KID girls.

Oh well, hopefully we can have her party this weekend. And then maybe she'd like to be an elf warrior. I'm finally working on the little fantasy costumes - I've gone from ball gowns and blossoms to Braveheart and barbarians.

It is so hard when it is impossible to actually connect with a particular doll....isn't it? *sigh*
You have never given up trying, but do you think you will try for much longer?

I have recently let 2 dolls go after years of trying to connect with them, I sort of felt 'guilty' that I was having difficulty getting to know them.
But when they left, I felt a huge wave of relief and I wish now I had let them go much sooner!

I don't know how long I will try. I feel guilty even thinking of selling her. I guess it's the 'perfectionist' in me, not willing to admit I might have made a mistake. To me Peach looks best either in the Victorian outfit, or something summery and contemporary with a hat. I'm starting a series of Fantasy outfits for my smaller dolls, and maybe she'll work in one of those. I also thought maybe she would look good as a Medieval girl. Of course then she wouldn't fit with the others any more - unless I make some of the others matching period clothes.

Thanks! I think I'm 'over-compensating' in my attempts to do right by her. Her cake is a masterpiece too - way more elaborate than any others so far.
