I've put Leona back into the outfit she came with. I figured it was't fair to Soa to take her default costume and make her be a West Coast Indian. Everyone needs to be reasonably dressed while they wait for me to make them something special just for themselves. I didn't care much for the lace-edged denim jacket Leona came with, so let her borrow Maya's vest. It will do for now. I rather like Leona in jeans, and think it would be nice to have a 'modern' group come along on our fall trip this year. That trip will see us exploring the Colorado Rockies down into New Mexico, to arrive just in time for the annual Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. I never thought I'd be interested in 'modern' clothes for my dolls, but I think a young family in jeans and hiking gear coming along on a trip through all kinds of varied landscapes would be really nice for a change. No fantasy stuff, just regular adventure. So, Leona is busy checking the Internet to find interesting places in the area she'd like to go to see. and for hiking and camping gear she's going to need..... It's nice to have a long time to prepare for the fall trip, but I'm running out of time for the Florida one. We are in yet another super deep-freeze, and my dolls are all in their winter wear waiting for it to warm up some outside so they can play in the snow a few last times. I need two of them for trip clothing models, but I'm not able to print out the patterns I need. The lights are on, but my upgraded computer won't recognize the printer. Just one of the many things still not working. Guess I'm going to have to draw up patterns from scratch, so I can actually work on something today, as Tuesday and Wednesday will both be total write-offs for sewing. I have an appointment with a retinal specialist tomorrow morning, and with the eye drops they put in, I won't be able to see for the rest of the day. And Wednesday we have plans for the whole day. So, better get to it....

I hope she found good places to stay and at discount prices as she is booking so far in advance! LOL!

Transportation is free, and so are the comfy padded "beds" in the upper back cupboard of the RV. I've been there many times before, but it will be Leona's first time, so she's checking out all the interesting places she hopes to see. Comments are closed.
