We had heard about this Campground from some passengers on the Newfoundland Ferry, and decided to check it out. There were only a few RV camp spaces, and they were high on a cliff overlooking the bay below. When the whales were in, it would be possible to watch them right from the campsite....

But the whales were not there yet, and it was pouring rain. Paige was getting wet...

But Olivia had brought an umbrella....

So said there was plenty of room for Paige, so they could look around, and stay dry, together....

One thing they had noticed, was that the dandelions in Newfoundland looked a little different than the ones back home. Especially when they got wet....

What a beautiful spot to camp!

Your little girls are definitely adventurous; not even rain is going to slow them down! Did they actually get very wet? How about the photographer and her assistant?

It would have been even better on a clear day with whales playing down below.

It was raining off and on, but when you go to Newfoundland you have to expect that kind of weather. Problem was, in the rush to pack at the last minute, I totally forgot to pack their umbrellas. So one day when we had wifi, we googled to see if there were any Mastermind stores in the province, so I could buy the OG set that had one in it. The only place to have one was St. John's, but then again it's the only truly modern 'big city' in the province. We bought the umbrella the evening before, and I don't think it came out again.

We brought lots of clothes, so if something got too wet, we just changed into something else. And if the dolls got wet, I just left their boxes open on the back bed so they could dry. Things like Bianca's and Rex's cloaks had to get hung up to dry.

The weather is constantly changing. You can almost expect everything in the same day. But as unwelcome as rain is, at least I don't have to deal with the harsh shadows of full sun.
