Cinnamon was watching the others clean out their pumpkins.... "I don't like scary pumpkins..." "What if we carve some cute cat faces instead??" "That's actually a great idea. But I've never done that before...." "Well, Rags here, can be our model.." So they set to work.... And before too long, the first Cat-o-Lanterns were done....

I echo Cinnamon. I don't like scary pumpkins either. The cat faces are so cute.

I've always liked the idea of kids dressing up and going Trick-or-Treating, but I've never liked the scary displays people set up. And I hate the Halloween sections in the stores when there's all kinds of gory stuff for sale. Give me cute, and nice, and simple fun, without the gore and horror.

Someone did some wicked good pumpkin carving on that small scale!!! Heh, I like scary pumpkins but cute ones work better for these sweet little girls.

It's kind of fun to try carve such tiny pumpkins. I just use a sharp knife, and this year I tried some woodworking tools. They have all kinds of interesting blades, and worked really well.

Those pumpkins are adorably cute! I love the embroidered aprons and the incredibly darling hats and sweaters. Is the pumpkin inside and seeds that she's holding made of sculpy? Or is it real? I am new to resin dolls and I wonder about, for example, the pics I've seen which show the doll partially in water ( on other sites) , and what the dolls can safely touch with their feet or hands.

Thanks. The tiny pumpkins and guts are real. I don't worry about stuff getting on my dolls too much, since I buy them mostly for photo stories, and not to stay pristine on display. I just wash their hands afterwards with soap and water and dry with paper towels. Some of their aprons and clothes had to be washed afterwards as well.
