This past weekend was one crazy busy weekend. My daughter and her family were coming to town for grandson Andrew's 5th birthday party on Sunday. Saturday morning almost all the grandchildren were here - not just the usual three girls - and we made surprise cupcakes for Andrew's party. Thankfully. with so many people over, most became easily distracted and wandered off after they finished the initial icing, leaving Teagan and Natalya to decorate the cupcakes with sprinkles and dinosaurs. Unfortunately I had issues with one of the icings, which just became softer and softer, but we did the best we could. Here's the girls posing with their Jurassic masterpieces....
With almost all the family here together, they decided to throw me an early surprise birthday party as well. I received lots of beautiful flowers....this mixed bouquet in my favourite colours.....

My family got together to surprise me with a new wide-screen TV to replace the small old one we've been using the past 30 years. So now my main room is upside down as we have to cut one of the bookcases in half (widthwise) in order to make enough room for the new TV. And what a lot of books were in that one bookcase! Six huge laundry baskets full!
Now, this is also the room I do all my sewing in, so things will be disrupted for a little while as we sort everything out, and reorganize the bookcase wall. I can't wait until it's done!
