"The Winter Patrol was ambushed yesterday. Rex escaped with minor injuries..."
Picture
Monica sat down and took Naomi's hand, as Lawrence passed Rex's letter to Miho, so she could read it herself.
"Unfortunately Baron took the brunt of the attack."
Picture
"How bad... is it?"
Picture
"It's very bad...."
Picture
"Baron was severely wounded. Thankfully help arrived quickly, and he was lucky the nearby village had a very skilled surgeon...""
Picture
"The Doctor did the best he could with Baron's injuries, but he's in critical condition."
Picture
"..and they don't know if he's going to make it."
Picture
Naomi struggled to take in the news...
Picture
"The last thing Baron said before he lost consciousness, was to tell you that he loves you."
Picture
Picture
Picture
"I'm so sorry..."
Picture
Miho could barely believe it either, and read the letter from Rex again.
Picture
Picture
"Rex writes that the next few days are going to be critical."
Picture
Lawrence tried to offer some hope.  "Yes, they are waiting to see how he recovers from the surgery, and hope he doesn't develop an infection. But Baron is young and strong. If anyone can survive something like this, he can."
Picture
"I've asked Winston to keep us informed about Baron's condition. He's agreed to fly back and forth every day to let us know about any little change."
Picture
"And we'll let you know right away."

What difficult news to deliver, what difficult news to receive. The close up of Naomi's face is amazing!

Let us hope that Winston will have a good report when he returns again.

I don’t know how you do it. Your characters are showing joy, sorrow, pain and many more emotions, and always with the same face. It’s truly mind blowing. And now I‘m waiting with Naomi and the others for news of Baron, but even more impatient😅.

Thank you so much! I find the posing and camera angles help a lot, and then I write the story according to what the photos say to me.

Well, Baron's injuries are rather severe, so he won't be recovering very quickly.

I agree with Clara that the depth of emotion you can convey is amazing. Poignant story.

Beautifully expressive and evocative. I hope Baron will recover and be reunited with his beloved.
