Wondering why I've been 'missing in action' lately? Well, April is birthday month in our Family, and we had our big annual combined celebration this past weekend. Our granddaughters come over every Saturday morning, and for the past few weeks have been helping make fondant decorations for the two birthday cakes that were planned. Friday Jan picked them all up after school so they could help decorate the cakes.... The two smaller cakes are gluten-free for family members that are gluten intolerant.... And of course, some pretty pictures of the cakes before they headed off to the party..

I love your "Girls at Work" photos. The one of the three of them and their completed creations is terrific. They look pleased and proud of the job they did. So here's a well deserved round of applause for them!!!

Thanks! I find the girls really like to help, and we've already figured out Natalya's last birthday cake before she moves out west.

Martha, what lovely cakes. The children are adorable! They are so talented in their skills. No surprise there. They take after you!

Thanks! They do get to experience a lot of different art activities, between my sister and myself.
