Bicycle Day

4/28/2021

April 19th was Bicycle Day, and I had Owen and Leona's family all set to go on a bike ride.  But the weather just didn't want to cooperate. We took them out several times but it was either too cold, too rainy, too snowy, too sunny, or way too windy. Then the place closest to home had all new 'No Parking' signs along all the streets, and my 'go to' road in the country had a pile of dirt on one end, and ugly black construction fences on the other, so we had to find someplace new.

We finally found a chained off driveway to a boarded up, expropriated, century house, in the middle of all the new subdivision construction devastation. The sign said 'No Trespassing', but we ducked under the chain so Owen and Leona's family could finally have their little bike ride...

Everyone was a bit stiff and out of shape, from being in their boxes for so long, so it was a bit of a struggle at first...

Glad they managed to get a short cycle ride in! Love the matching knitted hats, jumpers and cardigans.

Thanks. Every one of my smaller dolls has a sweater and hat set, except the newest ones, which still need one.

You found a great spot for your photos! I'm glad you ignored the no trespassing sign. How could anyone be upset over a pleasant couple with some beautiful dolls using an abandoned driveway for a few photos! I'd say shame on them if they did.

Leona and Owen and their family look so real it's hard to realize that they are only dolls!

I figured since the house was boarded up it was fine to ignore the No Trespassing sign and just be on the driveway. I always prefer taking doll photos in isolated places like this where no one is watching. Just one car drove by the entire time we were there.
