This had truly been the very best Christmas ever....
It had been a long day, and it was time for bed.... Elora put her creche on her night table, where she could see it.... "It's time to go to sleep now..." "Good night, Mom..." "Good night, sweetheart." and the Queen started to blow out the candles.... But Elora just wanted to look at the babe in the manger a little longer.
This had truly been the very best Christmas ever....

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. There's still a short, three part Epilogue, and then It's the end.

That Sleeping Beauty tapestry was made a very long time ago, for my Barbies when I was young, It shows up in various scenes from time to time - like the Victorian baby's room.

Each part of this story has been warm and wonderful. The Queen is such a loving and gentle person with little Elora and with everyone she meets.

Hello, Martha! I am a new fan, having just recently discovered your site here while I was googling to find historical patterns for my 16" fashion dolls. Can I just say, 'WOW!!" I have been immersed in your photos and stories here for days! You have amazed me, thrilled me, and inspired me! I want to thank you for being the creative person that you are, and for sharing it so willingly...your artistry makes everything seem magical! I think it would be wonderful if you would consider publishing a children's picture book of your Christmas story, including an appendix showing a few of the "how it was done" pictures - it is all so beautiful and immersive. My daughters are grown now, but a photo story book featuring dolls in such magnificent costumes and settings would have been an absolute favorite when they were young, and one they would have spent hours poring over the pictures. What a way to spark their imagination and the possibilities for their own play! If you ever did such a publishing project, I would be first in line to buy it! Again, thank you for your beautiful work. I look forward to following your doll acquisitions, costumes and stories!
