Baron and the Prince

Naomi sat down to breakfast with Baron's Mother.
"So, have you seen Baron?  Do you know where he is?"
Picture
"Yes, he went to see the King. Lawrence has been asking about him for weeks, and wanted to see him as soon as he returned.  You were sleeping so soundly, Baron didn't want to wake you so thought he'd let you rest, and he'd go see the King."
Picture
"The King??  Your husband, his Father?"
Picture
"My goodness no!  I am Queen of the Fairies, but Lawrence rules over the Kingdom of Man. He is not my husband. He and Baron are the same age, and have been best friends ever since they were boys.  They first met in school.
Being my son, Baron was entitled to a formal education befitting his noble status."
Picture
"That's where he met the Prince, and the two boys hit it off right away.
They enjoyed many of the same things..."
Picture
"...and were both excellent students."

I love this backstory. You are giving us so much detail. What fun!

Thanks. I thought it would be nice to do several character's back stories, and this story provided the perfect opportunity.

The two boys won't like to hear it, but they are very cute together.

I love your setting. Every one seems to be unique but you use the same background all the time. That's almost unbelievable.

I can't wait to see the next part.

They do make a good pair. I chose David to portray his Dad when he was younger, after all kids often tend to look like their parents. And Aaron was the only choice I had for a younger Baron.

I figure every room in a castle would have stone walls and a fireplace, but I change the decor so the rooms are different. I do keep track of what wallhangings are up in who's rooms.

But they wouldn't have had the same variety of choices with furniture in those times, so it's fine if that's the same in everyone's homes, since there would only be one furniture maker in town, and he'd likely have the same style.

I love seeing the background too and the use of your little boys. So cute!
