Baron

I gave into temptation and ordered the new FID guy, Baron this morning...

This is actually a photo of the HID size Baron, but I prefer his promo photos, although the FID version facial hair will be a little different. I see him as some kind of historical or fantasy king or knight, or maybe a brother to Rex. But who knows, maybe he'll have other ideas?
They often do...

I've ordered him in Real Skin, with their company faceup, on the Model body like Rex. I've decided that their Muscle body is just too big. My Lawrence has it, but there was no other choice when he was introduced way back at the very beginning.  I also ordered some extra hands for him, so he can hold a sword or gun, and I got him some tall black boots, so he'll be all set to go on some adventure (as soon as I make him an outfit) Maybe I'll finally be able to use some of the chain mail I've been saving?

Anyways, while I was at it, I also ordered a pair of Fantasy FID hands for Monica, to replace the lame Raccoon ones, and some 'holdy' hands for Bianca. They would have been very 'handy' on our recent trip, so I'm trying to plan ahead....

Well he is certainly a "hunk." Do people still say that? I love his piercing blue eyes. He definitely looks like a king.

Well, he is on the Hercules body there, and that definitely makes him a 'hunk'. But I chose to go with the Model body. It's much more realistically proportioned, especially once you put clothes on them.

Unfortunately there is no choice of eye colour. I hope they give him something nice.

Congratulations on ordering Baron. I fell in love with his sculpt when they released the HID size and couldn't wait for the smaller version. I was planning on getting him with the model body also. Unfortunately, the way they styled the FID version does nothing for me. I would order him without the facial hair if it were an option; I'm afraid they'll charge extra if I ask for it. So I'm waiting out this order period until I see how other buyers style him. Needless to say I looki forward to seeing yours when he arrives.

Many people would have preferred a clean-shaven faceup option as well. But to me, the character he suggests needs facial hair.

Baron is on my list too. I like him with and without facial hair. But first in line will be a Racoon doll.

Lorraine, you can ask Iplehouse for a different faceup before payment. If it's possible, they'll add it.

I would ask them, except I don't have funds for a new doll right now. I suppose I could order him without faceup (when I have funds again), except my faceups aren't quite in Iple's league and he'd look out of place next to the others.

That has proven to be the case with my dolls too. The first two don't really work so well with the second two who have Iplehouse faceups., because of the difference in faceup styles. So I've learnt my lesson, and it's IH faceups for the FIDs from now on.
