Bad News

I don't normally like to talk about personal stuff here, but I have mentioned a few times the past two weeks that Jan was sick.  He came down with 'Hand, Foot & Mouth disease' two weeks ago, which is a virus with nothing to be done about.  A week later he developed all kinds of flu symptoms, which did not improve. In fact he seemed to get worse. Then yesterday he was so confused, we were both frightened, so I called 911, and an ambulance came to take him to the hospital. They did not allow me to come because the hospital is not allowing visitors at this time due to Covid19.

I've been on the phone with nurses and doctors through the night, and things did seem hopeful then, but this morning I received some very bad news. They have discovered, and are treating him, for three things: Pneumonia, a Neo Stroke, and a mini heart attack.  And the tests for Covid 19 haven't even come back yet.

I asked if he'd recover 'back to normal' and was told it was too soon to say. Then they asked for 'end of life directive'.  To say I'm in shock is an understatement.

Martha I'm sending love and prayers across from the UK. I'm hoping that if he has been ill for 2 weeks that he hasn't been in contact with Covid 19 and the tests will come back negative. Please take care of yourself and remember we are all thinking of you both.

I am so very sorry to hear this - but I read your other posts about Jan, and am quite relieved to hear that of today (3-27) he's doing better.

Gentle hugs and wishes to you both and to your family, and for total recovery and wellness.
