*Edited to add a couple of super old photos, as per Marianne's request....
First, at age four, with younger sister and baby brother, examining the dandelions....(or clover?)
We are well into fall, with autumn and Hallowe'en decorations popping up everywhere. Even with night temperatures nudging the freezing mark, there's still a few flowers holding on. I've noticed that Byuri seems very drawn to flowers, as she's often holding a bouquet in photos. I can relate. Flowers have always been very important to me too. In many very early photos from way back in Holland, I'm seen holding a bouquet of flowers or pussy willows. Many of my earliest memories are also of flowers; a forest floor covered with trout lilies in spring; wild irises growing along the stream out front of our farm; strawberries blooming in the back country. All from when I was just five. So, maybe I'm channeling my early childhood onto Byuri, or maybe it's just because she has a "holding" hand. *Edited to add a couple of super old photos, as per Marianne's request.... In the spring of 1960, with my grandmother, in a final group photo before immigrating to Canada, just before my 5th birthday. That's me proudly posing with the pussy willows.
