As I've mentioned before, my youngest son and his partner have an 'Immersion Room' movie studio. Well, they've been suggesting I should bring some of my dolls so we could play with them in a virtual environment. So, yesterday on Mother's Day, I packed up my three knights, their horses, plus Miho and my two dragons, and we headed on over to their movie studio. We started by creating a raised mountaintop set to pose the dolls on. Then I positioned my knights... Then Mike started playing with backgrounds.... Each time he changed the background, he'd also change the lighting so it would be the right colour to match the background, as well as come from the proper direction.... Some scenes worked better than others. Then we switched to Miho and the dragons, and really had some fun.... I took a LOT of photos, and haven't decided yet how I want to share them here, especially with that toynewz website continuing to steal every one of my posts off my Antique Lilac site. But yesterday's adventure was just too exciting not to share... Copyright © 2022 Martha Boers

Your photos and costumes are beyond wonderful! Eye-candy at it's best! It's a shame that someone is using them, and claiming the credit. It's beyond my level of operation, but I understand there is something called a "Watermark" that can be added to the digital version of each of your photos. It cannot be removed by another party. Maybe your son could help with the technology. Please keep posting, this site is a joy.

Thanks. I suppose a watermark in all my Blog post photos might be a good idea, but I'd still prefer my photos be without one in the main part of my website. I hope they can't steal things from there.

Wow, very cool, what a marvelous room. I hadn't heard of an immersion room before. Love all the scenes you created.

It's the newest technology in film production, since anything can be brought up on the giant screens. We watched one of their promo shoots a few months ago, and the filming started in a regular modern condo, then after the actors changed costumes it went into a jungle sequence, and after that an actor put on an astronaut suit and went to Mars.

Wow, this is amazing! This takes "behind the scenes" to a new level.

I'm definitely not interested in animation. Way too much work for far too little result. And what would be the point anyways? This will never be more than an occasional opportunity for a special photo shoot.

These are photos are stunning! What fantastic effects. Definitely an idea for when your knees are no longer up to crawling around in the snow!

Thanks. I agree, nothing beats the real thing, although getting down on the ground is getting increasingly more difficult. But it is certainly effective for places I'd never be able to take them. And just for fun.
