KID Fay is 35 cm tall, in Normal resin, with Makeup A
The two little girls that I ordered from Iplehouse during their Fall Event, arrived this week. KID Fay is 35 cm tall, in Normal resin, with Makeup A Her faceup was extremely light, so I added a little blush to her cheeks, as well as a bit of colour inside her mouth. She was intended to be a Medieval/Fantasy girl..... She came with size 10 dark brown eyes, which filled her eye holes and made her look like an 'alien', so I switched them out for a size smaller. I had plenty of round size 8 eyes, but she had to have ovals, and the only pair I had was these olive glass ones....so that's what she ended up with.... And then there is Judith. She's a BID at 25 cm tall, in Normal resin with Makeup A. She's very cute, but they went a bit bright with her blushing, especially on her nose, so I tried to tone it down some, but she's just going to have to wait until Charie can take in dolls again. She came with beautiful 12 mm blue eyes, but they completely filler her eye holes, so I had to switch them out for a size smaller. She ended up with these 10 mm eyes instead.... The two of them were intended to be little sisters to Yvette..... But dolls often have a mind of their own, so I'll see where they want to end up. When I get the chance, I'll try some contemporary clothes on them, and see if they'd rather be modern girls, or if they are happy to stay in Fantasy times....
I'm working on an upcoming Christmas story, which needs a lot of scenes out in the snow, so have been taking advantage of all the beautiful snowfalls north of us. We went up again yesterday to shoot eight more scenes. It was snowing very hard... Unloading on location... A sneak peak at three of the over one hundred photos taken.... I'd typed up a list of scenes with the eight dolls and three horses, and after three hours of taking photos, in two separate locations, I was totally soaked from getting down in the snow to take photos. Yes, we'd brought a tarp, but it was snowing so hard that it was covered in no time at all. Thankfully it wasn't that cold, just at freezing. But all the dolls got covered in snow as well, so once home, they all ended up standing around various heat registers to dry off.
Of course after getting home and downloading the photos, I saw all kinds of spots where I should have taken something more. Which means packing up the car again, and heading north again - for the third time this week. I discovered that I pulled way too many nice photos with a Christmas theme, so will be posting three a day now.... Today, December 5th, is St. Nicholas Eve A visit from St. Nicholas - *Story Here Sugar Plum Fairies... The Toy Shoppe window....
I had finished Nami's new jacket two days ago, and was eagerly anticipating the 'snowstorm' they were forecasting, so I could take pictures of her in it. But we got hardly any snow, and most of it melted. So today we went for a little drive twenty minutes to the north of us, where it was a beautiful, winter wonderland.....
With the beginning of the Christmas Season coinciding with the start of the eighth 'Smiles for the Day' album, I'll be posting two photos a day this month..... Making paper chains for the tree... Finding room for just one more....
The departure of Autumn..... With today's photo we reach the end of the seventh album of Smiles for the Day. That's a total of three hundred and fifty photos so far. With the Christmas season fast approaching, I've pulled Holiday photos for December, but there are so many great photos that I'll be going back to posting two a day. Starting tomorrow.
