Baby Sena's birthday was coming up, and Leona was busy making the cake. It was a labour of love, as she'd been there for her niece's birth a year ago. So the cake needed to be special... Holly and Coco had come to watch... "So, what do you think?" "The baby elephant is so cute!" "Well, now that the cake is done, I can clean up, and then we can get ready to go to the party." "This is going to be so exciting!"

"I think this one will do..." One of these photos came up on my Facebook memories, and although from 2018, they are too cute not to share again....
Today is National Electricity Day.....
be glad you have it, otherwise you wouldn't be looking at this I've been very busy the past few weeks, working on so many things at once, as well as trying to go out for doll photos every time we had a decent day. The trees are well past prime, and it won't be long now before they are bare, which means only a little time left to take autumn or late summer photos outside anymore. In fact the night temperatures are getting too unreliable to leave the houseplants outside any longer, and Jan is getting tired of dragging them all into the garage every time there's a frost warning. So yesterday all the hibiscus and Christmas cactuses came back inside for another year. My kitchen is a jungle again, until at least next May..... This is what's left outside.....it still looks pretty good, but won't last too much longer.... I finished all the books I was working on.... ...and started a Halloween costume that I've been wanting to make for a few years now.... But it goes very slow because too many other things keep interrupting. Like that outfit for Raillie I had just two days to make. And all the doll photos I've been taking. Most are for a story which won't be starting for a while yet, but this is how it ends..... Plus I have five pairs of shoes under construction. The Medieval Fantasy women are all wearing totally unsuitable footwear, but no one can see it, so it hasn't been an issue. Except I KNOW what they have on their feet, and they all really need a proper pair of shoes.... I have five sets of JID and FID heeled feet in stockings wrapped with plastic, to form the shoes on, and the uppers are very slowly taking shape. Black with red for Monica, green for Grace, blue for Yvette, purple brocade for Bianca, and gold for the gold gown no one is currently wearing. Once all the decorations have been attached, they will get another layer of plastic wrap, and the soles and heels will be sculpted out of Aves Apoxie. So still lots to do.
Plus I have a little someone who turns one next week, so she deserves a proper birthday party. Which means setting up and taking lots more photos. And I received the shipping notice for FID Edan two days ago, which is a lot sooner than I was expecting. There's no way I can have his outfit ready for when he arrives, so he and Yvette will just have to make do with borrowing 'Outlander' outfits, or going super fancy contemporary. I'll see. And if all that isn't enough, Halloween is almost here. There are pumpkins to carve, and costumes for some dolls to dress up in. So I better go do something.... |
