Thought I'd take a few pictures with all my boys together. First Aaron and Milo... And then with all the younger boys..... And one last group portrait shot....
Most boys love nothing more than spending hours playing computer games, and Aaron is no different. He took his laptop along when he went to meet some of the other neighbourhood boys...
Recently finished two pretty purple dresses for Kaye Wiggs girls. They are made from a
printed, semi-sheer Indian scarf. Once I'm done taking photos, they'll go up for sale. Two summer ago, I bought two MIM dolls, intending them to be for my one granddaughter who is really into dolls. I gave her the first one - Jasmine - that year on her birthday..... I've decided it's high time to give her the second one -Taylor - but her birthday isn't until the very end of the year. So maybe we need a little 'un-birthday' party in June, and give the girls a gift for no other reason than that I wanted to. So I've made Taylor some play clothes, so she has more than just the jamies she came in....
it was a special day for Byuri yesterday, when she met her older brother for the first time... Byuri felt oh so lucky. All her friends who has brothers, either they were twins who arrived at the same time, or they got baby brothers, who they wouldn't be able to play with for years. But she got an older brother.... They were so happy to meet each other, and hit it off right away.... Then they posed for a few photos together....
Yesterday I went to Charie's to pick up Aaron. He's an Iplehouse KID Ah-ra in Special real skin. I had always thought Ah-ra would make a nice older sister for Byuri, but I already had several KID girls, and just the one boy, so decided Byuri could just as well have a big brother, so ordered a boy Of course, even though he arrived back in the end of March, I still had nothing for him to wear. I don't exactly have spare KID boy clothes. So I made him some pants this morning, then borrowed a shirt and hat, so I could take some pictures. I got him a dark brown wig, but I'm thinking it might be a bit too dark. Especially considering KIDs look best with a hat to minimize the size of their upper head, and under the hat his hair looks almost black. I'll have to try someone else's lighter dark brown wig to see how that looks.
I want to make a T-shirt with a shirt over top. The T-shirt is pretty straight forward, but I'll have to draw up a shirt pattern from scratch. And I need to see if I can make a proper baseball cap. After a quick dinner, and reading a few more chapters in her book, Kassia decided to go explore the Ruins Garden a little further. The interesting juxtaposition of architectural styles with the new conference hall addition, means no more 'Medieval' or 'Fantasy' shots with some of the ruins... Many of the ruins - like the 'Greek Theatre' - were occupied with portrait photographers and their subjects, so Kassia tried to stay out of their way.. "Nice place though. I'll have to come back some day, in my white gown."
Another thing on Kassia's 'to-do' list was to try some take out junk food.
Burger King looked like as good a place as any.... |
