But, does she want to? Being a 'contemporary' girl has been so liberating....
So it's time to go back.
Kassia has been away from home for some time now, and it's finally time to go back. But, does she want to? Being a 'contemporary' girl has been so liberating.... Does she really want to put her big white dress back on, and go back to the castle??? But she has missed the people back home, especially her boyfriend, Adrian.
So it's time to go back. The two Purple & Gold Party Dresses for Kaye Wiggs MSDs are now up for sale.
And there's also one final Deep Pink Champagne for slim Minis. It was the last evening of Kassia's 'freedom', and she decided that she wanted (needed) a treat. So she picked up a Banana Split at Dairy Queen.... "Tonight I have to go back...."
Thought I'd try switch her feet for high heeled feet, and see how the length of her skirts worked with high heeled shoes. JiDs have the same size feet as FIDs, so the shoes fit Isis just the same. Not perfect, but good enough. And with the added height, her dress wasn't nearly as long in front.
Took some more photos of Layla and Izzy yesterday.... I was really pleased with the sunny, back-lit ones.... ...all except for the stray hair right across Izzy's face. Drat that wind!
Ever since Iplehouse changed their JID Lady's bodies (back in 2012?) people have been having so many issues with posing them. They changed the bodies so they aren't strung like regular BJDs anymore. The legs are just tied to each other, instead of the elastic going up the torso to the head. Thankfully, for me, Charie will drill out the JID lady body whenever I bring a new one to paint. Then she can string the doll the standard way, and it holds a pose much better. Recently several people have been asking about the drilling, and since Kassia was undressed, I was able to take some photos - with the help of my husband, who pulled the doll apart so i could take a photo inside. First the view inside her torso looking down.... And then at the bottom of the torso looking up into the hip joint, and showing the new stringing.... I'm not sure which direction she drilled in, but I'm guessing it's from the bottom up.
With the drilled torso and new stringing, there's no more floppy legs, and the doll holds a pose so much better. I was looking through the older 'Special Days' photos to see if there were any for Father's Day, but decided I needed something new. Owen was still in his tux and I thought maybe he could be dressed up to have a tea party with his little girl and some of her favourite dolls and toys. But I decided casual clothes would work even better. I first tried Owen sitting on one of the small chairs, but decided he worked better sitting on the floor. Then he'd at least be the right height, and the chairs could be for Holly's dolls.... Wishing all the Dads out there a Happy Father's Day!
