What sheer delight these are!! I so wish I'd been able to find the tan Manuna and the Toads in the first colour. I didn't care so very much for the second (darker) release of them via Etsy...but there is a new chipmunk coming with Manuna's body that I sure hope to catch! :D

I liked the first Toads better as well. To me these characters could have stepped out of a Beatrix Potter type illustration, and those bright blue and green Toads definitely didn't fit in. I prefer the lighter 'watercolour' tones. I just hope the chipmunks fit in with my older gang.

She also said a while back that she wanted to offer some darker gray mice this year. But how dark is 'dark'?

I hadn't heard that about the dark gray mice. I think it'd be tricky to keep the eyes visible if you went too dark...but I will certainly look at them. Yes, totally agree about the Beatrix Potter feel and appeal the early animals have. I hope she returns to that with the chipmunks, as well--otherwise she may be starting from scratch building a fan base for them.

I think it won't matter what she does, as there's always going to be someone who loves them.

Delightful little get-together! I always love seeing your group of sweet forest creatures.

Thanks. Hopefully they'll get out more this summer.

I love these photos. There is always something to see that I didn't spot before, the like coffee carafe.

Thanks. Yes, there's always a lot to see.

They are so cute, as if you took them out of an illustration. I really love them nude and it's amazing, how different they look wearing clothes.

I liked them without clothes as well, but figured I better make them some before I no longer can.

It's funny how when I look back on photos from before they had clothes, they look so NAKED.
