Another Bedroom

After making pyjamas for all nine of my small Kaye Wiggs girls...
Picture
I decided that they had to have a pyjama party, and one can't have a pyjama party without a bedroom, so that meant I needed a bed. So I asked Jan to make a headboard and foot board. He made both exactly the same, in case I needed two beds, but made a separate riser for one, so it could be a higher headboard for a single bed...
Picture
I was going to use two photo prop boxes beside each other for the girl's bed, but it would also be possible to use three boxes for a taller doll. So he made the headboards the width of a photo box, that way I could use them for either size bed.

The headboard was supported between the wall and the prop box, and the footboard was held in place by a toy box.

With the bed made...

...and the whole bedroom...

...complete with a play tent...

*Note - Is it spelled pyjama or pajama?   Well, in American English it's spelled pajama, but for the rest of the English speaking world it's pyjama. With leaves Canadians totally confused, using both spellings, although pyjama is the preferred spelling.

I can already hear the joyful squeals of 9 little girls!

I love seeing the little dolls all around the room.

I predict that there will be much fun and little sleep when the pajama party begins.

Thanks for showing us the set up photos. I always smile when I see the clothes pins along the top of the walls.

They do have a lot of fun, so stay tuned!

The walls are foam core, and I used to use pins to attach paintings and pictures to the walls, but I found the pins left little holes. So it's better for the walls if I attach long strings to the pictures and hang them from clothespins along the top. And the curtains definitely wouldn't stay in place without them.

Oh, I see now. I thought that the clothes pins were holding parts of the walls together. I didn't see that they were connected to hanging pictures. Of course now that you point it out I can see it. Duh on me (laugh).

Everything looks so amazing. So in scale. Love to watch your posts and how you make the sets. Beautiful.

That bedroom would be a little girl's dream come true... it's wonderful!

I'm guessing there will be some sleeping bags on the floor when the pyjama party gets under way? They will be have so much fun there will probably be a lot of giggling and not too much sleeping going on 😊 ❤

Thank you. Yes, definitely sleeping bags on the floor, even though it will be rather crowded. So stay tuned....

So cute! Love the play tent. Did you (I'm assuming YES) make it as well?
