It was a fun two weeks, and the weather was perfect for sight-seeing, so we went a lot of places, but it wasn't the most ideal for taking doll photos, so there won't be very many of those. Bright blue skies, and strong winds might be wonderful for travelling and sight-seeing, but neither are especially good for taking doll photos. I did have a few preconceived ideas of what I wanted to photograph, and where, however all the wind and bright sunshine made it too challenging to take photos with larger groups of dolls, while limiting their exposure to the sun. I had brought a white umbrella for shading the dolls during set-up, and I lost count of how many times it blew inside-out. Then add in the unexpected sub-zero temperatures, and a blizzard or two, and sometimes it just seemed like too much effort.
I've downloaded all the pictures onto my computer, and the three from this set are some of my favourites - taken at sunset in Castle Valley along the Colorado River near Moab, Utah......
