A Rose for His Lady

I spotted Tedros in the back garden trying to woo Carina this afternoon. He had presented
her with a large bouquet of flowers, but she was trying very hard to resist his charms

When he presented her with a single rose, she finally gave in....

However, she still seemed a bit hesitant....

Maybe she was still a bit resentful that I gave him her wig.

They do make a beautiful couple, even though she's not dressed in the same period as him. But maybe she likes to run around in hundred year old heirloom gowns passed down from her great, great grandmother. Who knows?  I had wanted to take more photos, but I was getting so exasperated trying to pose them. Years ago, before I really got into the smaller dolls, these bigger ones didn't seem to be much of a problem. But then, they pretty much just stood or sat around looking beautiful.  I know I complain about their lack of posing a lot, but after two years of posing the little dolls in all kinds of adventures, I guess I was expecting the big ones to behave the same way. They certainly don't, and if there's trick to it, I haven't discovered it yet.

I've been frustrated by my knitting today as well. I'm working on a sweater for Leona, and had knit the sleeves from what was left from an old ball after knitting a sweater and hat for Nami last year.  When I got to the main body of the sweater I decided to knit it in the round, which was a whole new experience for me. I had to start with the new ball, but after several hours of knitting, I noticed the colour ways seemed odd. Sure enough the yarn on this new ball was wound in reverse from the first ball.  Sigh. What to do? The patterns on the sleeves weren't going to match the body now. So I unravelled everything I had spent hours knitting and started all over again. I'm still not where I was at this time yesterday.  I better get back to it......

She definitely is gorgeous - thanks to you - and they do deserve to get out more.

They are amazing. They look so beautiful together. I imagine, there is some kind of theme ball in the afternoon. Carina's already dressed up for it, but Thedros is hanging behind, because he likes his wonderful new dress more.

I hope, Leonas sweater is growing and you are no longer frustrated. Having different flows of colour in a ball of the same kind really isn't funny.

Now there's a brilliant idea - a Theme Ball! Would explain why there's a girl in Italian Renaissance matched with a French Musketeer.

After a few more setbacks, I think I finally have Leona's sweater going in the right direction. I can't wait to see it finished.

Oh what beautiful photos of them both *happy sigh*

And I so hear you about the bigger dolls being so much harder to pose than the smaller ones.......but it is worth the effort when you get photos like the ones you got here.
