A Queen for Lawrence

Guess what I've been doing all day?    Finishing Monica's gown.  All the pieces were so close to being done two days ago, that today I just worked on it the whole day until I was finished.

And of course that meant taking a photo....

It was rather challenging to put all together, but I'm pretty happy with it.  I was surprised that the gown fit Monica as well as Bianca in exactly the same way.  No back overlap required. Only the sleeves are a bit tight for Monica, and she has trouble bending her elbows.  But then, queens don't exactly have to do much, so it will likely not be a problem.  Especially not after she gets her new hands. I bought her a pair of the IH Fantasy FID hands with the long nails, which will get painted the same dark red as her lips and gown.

I think she's gorgeous, and it would seem that Lawrence agrees.....

I'm totally in love with the Fashion size dolls. It's probably a good thing they are only a recent development in the BJD world, or I'd probably never have gotten into all the smaller dolls, and the stories with them.

It's interesting how life tends to go round in circles, and I'm right back at the beginning again. Elaborate costuming has always been my first love, and now there's finally a nice size doll to make them for.

Monica looks absolutely stunning in that gown. The attention to detail is really paying off - the gown is splendid.

Wow, the gown is fabulous! I love that we got to watch as you put it together. It gives us a real appreciation for the time and energy it takes to create one of your outfits.

I love how the couple is posed among candles. How romantic for a royal photograph.

They are an absolutely stunning and realistic couple. The gown is spectacular and suits your lovely lady perfectly. I also love the romantic Christmas background and candlelight.

It was fun to see the different steps in making the gown.

The gown is stunning and easily rivals Sartoria J's version. Raccoon's female hands are quite small compared to the rest of the body, so switching to the FID fantasy hands is a good call. I love how the colorful Christmas tree makes a glorious background for the photos.
