I spent most of yesterday painting the dragon's head. I was actually surprised that I could see the detail as well as I could. Even so, it's always a challenge painting anything that's 3-D, especially when one can't see both sides at the same time. One of the hardest parts was doing the blending on the horns and teeth. I had to redo them several times. Her face looks quite different on both sides, at least to me. It's clear now that her eye on the right side is set further back than on her left side. Of course there's no doing anything about that at this point. It just means she'll have two different expressions. Of course there's nothing like taking a photo, to help show up any issues, and I noticed a few areas in need of a touch up, so have fixed those. Now to address her arms and legs.

She's gorgeous! An amazing art piece, and I like that she has different expressions, depending on what angle or side you photograph. That makes her very versatile and also realistic, as nature is never totally symmetrical.

Thanks! It could be handy having her have two different looks. And then photography angles will make it even more so.

Oh I think she is lovely, the differences make her more realistic in my humble opinion. What are you going to name her? I wish I had 1/10 of your talent :)

Thank you. I was looking up possible dragon names, and have ten on my list. I will decide which one suits her best when she's done.

What a pretty lady! I am looking forward to learning how she and Winston meet (or how they did meet if they are already acquainted.)

I don't know yet. She's going to be a serious 'steed' for a little warrior elf. He arrives tomorrow, but will need a better faceup, as well as an outfit with armour and weapons. And the dragon will need a saddle. Maybe even some armour. But first I have to finish her, and I'm nowhere near done. Comments are closed.
