I finally finished the new wig for Isis. The wig she had been wearing was never intended to be worn with the top tied back, and the hair that was left in the back seemed way too thin and sparse. I wanted something with the top pulled back into a little 'bun', and with more hair cascading down in the back, so decided to make her a new wig that was actually made to be styled that way...... On first glance, it might look just like the wig she has been wearing, and that's because this one is made from the same mohair, so has the exact same colour and wave. I even added little tendrils for 'bangs'. I had thought at first to curl her hair into ringlets, but decided against it, and just left it all cascading loosely down her back, giving her more of a 'romantic', less formal look... I took photos as I made the wig, so now there's three wigs I've taken photos of, in order to turn into wig-making tutorials. Eventually.

She is beautiful. The wig really frames her face. The color of the wig brings out the color of her eyes.

Thanks! This new wig is pretty much how I had wanted the first one to look. It's nice it's made from the same mohair, so she can wear either one, depending on the situation.

The wig is beautiful on her. I love the casual appearance of those loose locks cascading down her back. There is something soft and gentle about Isis.

Thank you! I like that casual 'romantic' look too. I could always do her hair up in ringlets if she ever got a really fancy evening gown, then wash then back out for everyday again.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous wig; one of my favorites of all the ones you’ve made. She reminds me of Elizabeth from the Hallmark TV series “When Calls the Heart.” Have you seen that? Your Isis could easily play a staring role in a Victorian drama! :)

Thank you! No, I've not seen that series, but she does have a starring role in her own Victorian drama. Comments are closed.
