With it being the holiday season, Matias couldn't very well attend any gatherings in his armour so I made him something more 'casual'...

Very nice! I really like the fabrics and how they look together, especially the fabric shown on the short sleeves.

I thought how you made all his armor was really neat. You’re always such an inspiration.

I decided to stay with the same colour scheme as his knight outfit - silver and red - which also goes really well with Agnes' silver and pink.

Those short upper sleeves are from a VERY stretchy fabric, and even though I used iron-on interfacing to help keep it under control, it still stretched a bit along the bottom edges when I did the embroidery and added the beads.

Thanks. That's good to know, since I always have a hard time seeing his eyes unless it's a major close-up.

"Casual"... very elegantly! I am always amazed at how you are able to combine colours, fabrics, textures and trims so they all work together so beautifully.

Well, something 'casual' for his status. He is after all married to the Elf King's daughter.

I wanted him to look different from my other guys, and keep to the colour scheme of his knight outfit, so just went looking through my boxes of gray and red brocades, pulling all the fabrics I thought might work, then putting them together until I found some that I thought looked good together.
