It was three years ago today that JID "I" arrived back home after getting her faceup. I generally tend to keep sculpt names, but "I" just wasn't going to do it, so I tried to come up with 'I' names, and I liked 'Iris' and 'Isis'.....but couldn't choose at first..... Almost immediately, she became a Fantasy character, modelling the Dark Fairy costumes I had just made.... ...and 'Iris' just seemed too demure for a dragon-winged fairy..... ...so she became 'Isis'...... But things have changed a lot since those early days. Two years ago she became a contemporary girl, met Steve, and they created a blended family together. Then a year or so ago their whole family was transported back to Victorian times, where she's been ever since. So now I'm thinking 'Iris' seems more fitting a name for a lovely Victorian lady. So, from now on, her name will be Iris..... ...at least I'm going to try it out, and see if it sticks......

Iris does seem to be a better fit for her Victorian persona. But by whatever name or personality, she's always lovely!

If I can't get used to her name change, maybe she can have both - depending on what period she's in.

That's a fun idea!

P.S. They're adorable as a contemporary or Victorian family. Always liked that fall pic of them, so perfect for this time of year.

I really like that fall photo of them as a contemporary family too. Made me think they really should come back to the present again at some point. But then I'd have to make TINY contemporary clothes for their baby too.

I think, Isis is her secret identity. Usually she is Iris, loving mother and wife, but sometimes she needs a little escape and becomes Isis, the beautiful Dark Fairy

I agree. I like both names, and there is just one letter difference. I'll see if I can stick to Iris or not. Comments are closed.
