A Guest Arrives

1/6/2020

Going back a bit to Christmas morning at the Victorian household....
There was a knock at the door, and Iris went to answer it....."Come on in..."
Picture
"Everyone, this is Nick, who owns the toy store..."
Picture
"I invited him to come spend Christmas with us...."
Picture
"He looks like Santa Claus!  Do you think he really is?"
Picture
"Thank you so much for inviting me.  I brought a pie for dessert...
and some gifts for the children."
Picture
Baby Sena was all excited when she saw him...
Picture
"Thank you!  I'll take that."
Picture
"Welcome to our home, sir...."
Picture
"It's so nice that you could come.."
Picture
"Are you sure he isn't really Santa??"
"I don't know. He sure looks like he could be."
Picture
"'And who might this be??"
Picture
'She's Francina Elizabeth. We call her Sena.  This is her very first Christmas."
Picture
"It's so nice to meet you Sena...."
Picture
"Well, I better get back to the kitchen..."

I love this story. Sena really steals the scene with her big pretty eyes. What beautiful names she has.

It is nice that the owner of the toy store has some place to go for Christmas dinner. He gives such joy to others and it is nice that the family can give some joy to him.

So that's what Iris went into the Toy Store for when they went past before Christmas.

Ohhh, I get it. I didn't see that coming. I am loving this story.

I didn't either. Then I got the idea later. Half the time I don't plan these things. They just happen.

And I thought the Victorian Christmas story was over. What a treat to find there`s more!

Nyssa and Eric are so funny and cute with their whispered conversation over the real identity of the toy store owner :o)

Yes, there is a little more. I shot this two weeks ago, but just haven't gotten around to posting it yet. That's what happens when one has so many dolls, and way too many ideas.
