It had been raining on and off all day, as we arrived in the town of Ferryland, which is the site of a major archeological dig. There was also a display with some miniature boats (bigger ones) Always on the lookout for some new way to photograph my dolls, I thought one of them might just work for Rex and Bianca. So I dressed them for the weather, and brought a towel to dry off the seat. Rex picked up the one 'oar' (I guess he knew what he was doing).... ..... while Bianca sat down in the back..... The houses in the background looked sufficiently old enough, but I had to be careful there weren't any cars going by. Then I had to Photoshop out the display area floor, and replace it with 'water'....

Oh my goodness, they actually look like they are on a sea voyage! How wonderful that the display boats were the perfect size.

I thought so, and had to take advantage. Thankfully it was raining, so there were no other people around.

They do look like they are setting off on a sea voyage. Newfoundland is a treasure trove of scenic spots for doll photos!

Thanks! I love Newfoundland, and since we've been there many times before, I sort of had ideas in mind for where I wanted to shoot some things. But finds like this boat were a bonus. It was nice having an alternative to just them standing around or sitting on their horses.

I'm in love. Your Photos are amazing and Rex and Bianca are perfect together. The boat is a great prop.
