I know I'm supposed to be resting, and taking it easy, but it's sooooo boring doing NOTHING, so last week I decided to make my Kassia a white velour cloak. I can imagine all kinds of great photo opportunities with her in the snow - once I'm able - and thought a nice hooded cloak would complete her already amazing gown. The dress presented a problem because of all the embellishments at the shoulder. So I made the 'cloak' in two pieces - the actual cloak itself which ties underneath all the flower petals and pearls - and a completely separate hood, which has a jewelled silver clasp, and rests in the bodice neckline I managed to bead the edges, even though my eyesight is pretty bad right now. And because we decided not to put up our Christmas tree this year, I took photos of her with the mini tree on my dining room table....

She looks absolutely gorgeous! The cloak is a beautiful addition to her costume and I can imagine how much you are longing to get out in the snow for winter wonderland photos.

Thanks! I have some specific scenes in mind, but will probably have to wait until sometime in January or February. But then at least her cloak is ready.

I have a winter photo idea in my mind, so now I just need to be able to do it.

What a brilliant idea........it is just perfect with this beautiful costume. I can't wait to see it in an outdoor photoshoot now.

I found a polar bear and some snowy owls last month, and thought Kassia really needed a cloak for a photo shoot I have in mind with them. We are for more snow overnight, but I don't think there will be a photo opportunity tomorrow. Comments are closed.
