A Birthday Surprise

Four little Princesses decided they wanted to make a cake for their friend's birthday. They know he likes all kinds of bugs, and small cold-blooded creatures like turtles and fish. They remember seeing just such a cake back in February, so will try 'duplicate' it for their friend.....

Erzulie and Elin mixed up the cake batter.....

After the cake was cooled and iced, they tinted the 'fondant' with food colouring....

Then it was Bonnie's job to paint on all the little figures around the outside...

...while Erzulie helped Elin, who was sculpting all the little bugs...

... the finished cake...

They're all just too cute and very talented. Since the little princesses are dressed so nicely, it's a good thing you made them pretty aprons!
Their cake looks like a mini version of Elliot's birthday cake!

You guessed it! I thought that cake was perfect for the birthday tomorrow.

I specially made the aprons knowing I'd need them for this photo shoot.

Oh my, Martha you really outdid yourself with all this interesting food for the toad. To even come up with such an idea, just marvelous and the little princesses look so adorable.
