Cape Cod National Seashore....
It's going to be awhile before I go through all my trip photos and post them on my other website, so I thought I'd just post a few of my favourites here.... Cape Cod National Seashore.... Mayflower II, at Plimoth Plantation..... Fishing shed, Bearskin Neck, Rockport.... Colourful buoys..... Nubble Light, Cape Neddick.... Beautiful old Georgian home, Kennebunk..... Wild blueberry field.... Portland Head Light.... Schoodic Point, Acadia National Park... Lobster traps and buoys piled on the warf, Beals Island..... Lichen-covered trees, with fall foliage in the rain in New Hampshire....
Came back home today from our New England adventure. We made it all the way to the eastern-most tip of the USA in Maine - where we could see New Brunswick - then turned around to go inland to see the fall colours, and the rain began - for three whole days - and it's still pouring outside! Like usual, it took awhile to take the first doll photos - last day along the coast actually - in remote Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park, and in a fishing village on Beal's Island, where I actually started to get creative. Here's my favourite photo of Maya and Narae on the pier at Beals Island. I sat down on the pavement, used major depth of field so they would look like they fit into the landscape, but didn't notice the giant dandelion plant right in the foreground! I guess no one is perfect. And another favourite photo from Acadia National Park... watching for ships. When I've worked through all my photos I'll create a Favourite Photos page of the trip.
The last few things still need to go into the RV, and then we are all set for our road trip adventure starting tomorrow morning. I love traveling in the fall. The days are cooler and shorter, the trees turn glorious colours, most places aren't overrun with tourists, campgrounds are empty, and there aren't any bugs. That's the perfect time to take a vacation!
I'm taking Narae and Maya along, and hopefully I'll get some nice photos. Should be back in two weeks. |
