I finished Rex's knight outfit a while back after the 'Empress Connector' jewelry findings arrived. He needed a few more 'clasps' on his surcoat, and his wrist guards. And Bianca got the purple gown back, so I took some photos of the two of them together....
The neurologist ordered another MRI to take a more detailed look at Jan's brain. A heart attack had already been ruled out last week, and now consensus is that he didn't have a stroke either, but they wanted to make sure. Jan did have pneumonia, which was treated and has cleared up. The doctor says the MRI showed that Jan had/has an infection in his brain as a result of the Hand, Foot and Mouth disease, which this all started with five weeks ago. He said Jan will improve over time, and should eventually get back to normal. He is transferring Jan to the Stroke Rehab Clinic in another hospital, and he will be moved as soon as a bed becomes available. We have no idea how long he will be there. But it all sounds very hopeful. In the meantime, Mikey and Tanya continue to come every other day, and yesterday we went for a short drive over to the Townline to see the scillas..... The scent, carried on the wind, was amazing.... It lifted my spirits to see them, but at the same time I wonder if there will be any doll photos taken there this year. I'll see if I get up the courage to do it with Mikey and Tanya. I think they would be the ones I'd feel least uncomfortable with taking doll photos. Then a bit further up the road we walked along the edge of the maple woods, where the first flowers of spring were popping up through the leaves.... And back at home, my one week old Anniversary roses are starting to fade.... I'm feeling pretty good so far today, and actually managed some doll photos in the dining room castle this morning. I'm hoping with the good news about Jan, I will get some inspiration back.
He may still be gone for a little while, but at least there's hope he will fully recover. *Edited to add - I just heard that he's being moved today! Today is officially 'Draw a Bird Day', so I thought we'd revisit some photos from this day a few years back... (See whole story) Studying the subject.... Sharing their finished artwork...
I changed Bianca and Yvette's gowns around so Yvette would get the one I'd always intended for her to wear. I'd always had in my mind Lucretia's wedding gown from the TV series 'the Borgias'
I felt bad for poor Rosie, standing there stripped of everything, so dressed her in one of the Outlander outfits, found her a half decent wig, and took a few photos of her new look.... I was never sure if she was going to stay or go.... ..but I kind of like her this way.... ...plus I can always use some extra characters in my stories.
I finally dressed my new FID Grace yesterday. She is Special Real Skin, with faceup B, and was basically ordered to replace Rosie as Baron's lady. Which meant stealing everything Rosie was wearing, including her wig. And because Grace was going to be more of an 'active' girl, I found a spare bow, and borrowed a quiver full of arrows from Isar for a few photos... She definitely has a 'Brave' vibe about her....
