Going to a Party
Willie was all bundled up, travelling through the snowy woods....
She was going to a birthday party....
On her way to the party, Willie ran into Winston...
"Where are you going??"
"Where are you going??"
"I'm going to a party at the North Pole.."
'That's funny. I didn't get an invitation..."
"That is weird! I saw the guest list, and your name was on it.
Maybe your invitation got stuck in the mail."

"If you don't have anything else to do, you could come with me..."
So they headed off together....
Willie and Winston arrived at the North Pole....
"Surprise!!"
"Surprise!!"
"Happy Birthday, Winston!!"
Winston could barely believe his eyes!
The elves were all dressed up, and they had the biggest cake he had ever seen!!

Everyone gathered round to give him a big hug...

"How did you know it was my birthday??"

"Willie told us. She knows everything!!"
First order of business was to take the birthday portraits. First Winston posing with his cake...
...and with all the elves....
Let's play some games!
"I thought it would be fun to play some plain old-fashioned party games, like the ones we used to play when I was little...."
"like Pin the Tail on the Donkey. You get blindfolded, and try to pin a tail roughly in the right place on this picture....without being able to see it...."
"So, since it's his birthday, Winston can be first..."
"I hope you can't see anything, because you shouldn't be able to..."
"Where's that donkey?? Someone point me in the right direction!"
Finally Winston was in position with the donkey in front of him....
He was trying to remember where exactly the donkey's butt was....
"Come on...hurry up, the rest of us want a turn too! Just stick it on!!"
"Okay...here goes nothing...!"
He took off his blindfold....."Not even close!"
"It's not as easy as it would seem, is it??"
Next person to try to Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Donkey, was Chloe, so Winston tied the blindfold on her...
"Can you see anything??" "No." "Good!!"
Chloe made her way over to the Donkey...
...and pinned the tail....
...and she took off her blindfold....
"Well, that sure isn't very close!"
Several more people took their turn, but it was not going well. No one had won yet....
Finally it was Effie's turn....
You'd think that with all those other pins up there it wouldn't be so hard to figure out...
But no....
"Okay, I didn't get it either!"
"Well I guess no one won..."
"Kind of a dumb game, if there's not even a winner. Hope the next game is better."
