A Tale of Two Dragons

An original story featuring my two dragons, Winston and Saphira, and my House Elves by DreamHigh Studio

the Journey Begins

A group of Elves were on their way to see the King...

The delegation included Archibald, their High Aldwin....

...Sir Nolan, their highest ranking General...

...who rode a beautiful purple dragon...

..and Sir Gino, who rode a not particularly fierce looking polar bear.

They had already travelled a long way...

...when they met Willie. The King had appointed her as Ambassador to the Elves since she was from their kingdom originally.

As the King's representative it was her job to welcome the visitors and accompany them the rest of the way.

the Castle

The little Elf delegation finally arrived at the castle...

..with Willie leading the way.

The elves were impressed with the beautiful architecture...

"This is a really beautiful complex."

"..and everything is so BIG!!"

"If you'd follow me, we need to make our way to the Great Hall."

..and they went with her.

But the Elf delegation was awestruck...

"Look at those magnificent buildings!"

"I've never seen anything like them."

"I'm so impressed!"

"Some of them are hundreds of years old."

"But, gentlemen...the King is waiting. So if you'd kindly follow me."

Sending Winston

Meanwhile, Miho had called Winston, and it seemed urgent.

She told him that she had foreseen that he was about to meet a new, very special friend...

..and that he needed to go to the King's castle to see Baron...right away....

A New Dragon

So Winston flew to the castle, and found Baron in the Great Hall....

...just as the Elf delegation arrived....

...and they had a DRAGON!!

Winston had never seen another dragon before. He had always thought that he was the last of his kind. But here, in the Great Hall, right in front of him, stood another dragon. And it was a girl!!

The Elves approached the King....

Winston was almost beside himself with excitement at seeing the other dragon, but he knew it was an important state affair, so just stood quietly and watched the proceedings...

Willie stepped forward...

"Your Majesty, I'd like to present the Elf Delegation.."

"I'd like to introduce Sir Gino, Sir Nolan..."

"...and Archibald, High Aldwin of the Elven Kingdom."

"It's an honour to be invited here to join your Kingdom Alliance, your Majesty."

"The honour is mine sir, that you have accepted our invitation and come here to join us."

the Treaty

The first order of official business was to sign the Treaty.

As a member of Lawrence's Kingdom Alliance, the Elves were guaranteed a peaceful coexistence with all the other member nations.

They would have free markets for all their goods, and would be entitled to receive help in difficult times. Including military help. In other words, a pact of friendly nations looking out for one another.

Archibald read over the document. "Everything looks in order.."

..and he signed it.

Then after Lawrence signed it...

..it was Nolan's turn...

...and it was done.

Saphira

While the leaders were busy signing the treaty...

Willie introduced the two dragons to each other. "Saphira, this is Winston, a very good friend of mine.""

"And Winston, this is Saphira." Saphira took off her face guard...

"It's so nice to meet you, Winston!"

But Winston was awestruck, and feeling rather tongue-tied.

However, Saphira was no shrinking violet. "It's so wonderful to meet you. I've never met another Dragon before, and always thought I was the only one."
