Life with Babies
The continuing story of Baron and Naomi and their babies....
Grandma
With the babies' cradle in the main hall every day, Miho was able to spend many happy hours with her grand babies.
Naomi found her to be a great help...
And it warmed Baron's heart to see how much his Mother adored his children....
"They remind me so much of you when you were this little."
Grandpa
Dominic would often come during the day to see if the babies were awake...
...then sit down to play with them.
"Your father is so good with them."
Baron went over to talk to him. "I love how you interact with them."
"I'm so happy, and proud, that my children have you as their grandfather."
Daniel
Dominic turned to his son. "I've been wondering about something."
"I was so surprised when you named your son Daniel...."
"I really love that name, and am just wondering what made you choose it?"
"Well....I don't know. I've always liked the name, ever since I was a boy. There just seemed to be something special about it. Why?"
"Because.... it was the name your mother and I gave you when you were born."
Baron was speechless. "You mean, that I was Daniel...before Miho rescued me and named me Baron?"
Naomi heard what Dominic said....
"Of course! It never even occurred to either of us that Baron would have already had a name before Miho found him that fateful day."
"Yes, Amelia and I named you Daniel...after my father."
"So why didn't you say anything when we announced his name?"
"Well...to be honest, I was a bit in shock. And even though Daniel was the name of my baby son all those years ago...."
"...the man he became, who I became reunited with recently, has always been known by another name. There's no way Miho would have known the name of the baby she found that day, so she chose to name you Baron Alexander."
"It's the name you grew up with, and the name I knew you by when I first met you last year as Miho's son. So, even though you are one and the same as my little Daniel that I lost so long ago, I'm proud to know you now as Baron."
"It just seemed like a miracle to me, that of all the names you could have chosen for your son..."
"...you unknowingly chose the name you yourself had been given as a baby. Maybe on some unconscious level you remembered."
"I think it's wonderful that he's been given the names of his father, and great grandfather...."
"..and that of Naomi's father."
"This little man will have the honour of carrying forward the legacy of all three of those noble forebears.
He will have a lot to live up to."
He will have a lot to live up to."
