The next episode in the continuing Quest saga...
A Proposal
It had been several months since Aeran and her friends had returned home from their quest, and her quiet life that she had enjoyed before heading out into the wilderness...
Her relationship with Prince Kyle had continued to grow, and he would come to visit often....
But today he had come with a purpose...
...and he got down on one knee...
"I love you."
"Would you marry me?"
"I love you too..."
Kyle sat down beside her....
"So, yes.... I will marry you."

Sharing the News
Aeran and Kyle went inside to find her grandfather and tell him their happy news...
He wasn't all that surprised. He'd always liked Kyle, and thought he would be the perfect match for Aeran, which is why he had insisted he accompany her on her quest.
"Congratulations! That's wonderful news. I'm so happy for the both of you."
"So, now we have a wedding to plan....."
"Yes, I guess we do."
the Wedding Day Arrives
It took several months to plan the wedding, and make Aeran's bridal gown. After all, with it being the wedding of their future Queen, it was a very special royal occasion, and those couldn't be rushed.
When the day finally arrived, Aeran arrived at a side chapel at the cathedral with her Grandfather..

The guests had started arriving in the main hall....

The wedding promised to be the social event of the season, as Aeran, the Princess Royal, was about to marry Kyle, the Crown Prince from the neighbouring kingdom.
It was an event not to be missed.
...and nobles from both kingdoms had been invited...

Kyle was getting some final instructions from the Bishop....
"I think we need to go find our places."
"It's time to begin."
the Processional
The choir began to sing, and the flowers girls started their way into the cathedral,
ahead of Aeran on the arm of her Grandfather, the King....
When the flower girls reached the altar, they joined the Bishop up on the Dias...
behind Kyle, where he stood waiting in anticipation...
And there she was....
and Aeran's grandfather passed her over to Kyle, who lifted her veil, and took her hand....
the Vows
Aeran and Kyle stood together before the Bishop....
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today
to join this man and this woman in the bonds of Holy Matrimony."
"Marriage is an honorable estate, and is therefore not to be entered into lightly. Therefore, may the promises you make to one another today, be lived out to the end of your lives."
"Aeran ... do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honour him, to comfort him, and to keep him, in sickness and in health, from this day forward as long as you both shall live?"
"I do"
Kyle ... do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, to live together in matrimony, to love here, to honour her, to comfort her, and to keep her, in sickness and in health, from this day forward as long as you both shall live?"
"I do"
The Bishop then asked Aeran and Kyle to join hands.
He turned to Aeran... "Now repeat after me...."
"I, Aeran, take you Kyle, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
Then to Kyle... "Now repeat after me...."
"I, Kyle, take you Aeran, to be my wife ...
... to have and to hold from this day forward,
to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
the Recessional
"With the authority invested in me, under the laws of this Kingdom, I now pronounce you husband and wife."
With the ceremony over, Aeran and Kyle turned....
to start their way down the aisle together....
They were headed to the west wing....
to the cathedral balcony....
to wave to the cheering crowds assembled outside...
