A Quiet Moment

Iris was a busy woman. With a big house to keep and four children to raise, it was often hard to find some time for herself. So every afternoon when baby Sena took her nap, Iris would just relax with a cup of tea and one of her favourite books...

A Quiet Afternoon

Little Sena had woken up from her nap...

...and after being fed, she was only too happy to entertain herself in the playpen ...

...so Iris was able to do a bit more reading.

but it wasn't long before Sena wanted some attention...

the Violin

It was the baby's nap time, so Iris was catching up with a bit of reading...

When Eric came in..

He'd just come back from his violin lesson.

"Do you want to hear what I learned today?"

"Yes, I'd love to."

So, he started to play...

Iris was really impressed with Eric's dedication to such a challenging instrument...

...and he was getting very good at it.

"That was really beautiful."

"You are becoming quite the violinist."

Pink Blossoms

Iris would sometimes ask her eldest daughter, Lis, to watch the baby, so she could go out for a short stroll...

She loved Spring... when all the trees would burst into bloom....

She especially loved the flowering crabapples....

Pink was her favourite colour...

Getting Started

Baby Sena's first birthday was coming up, and Iris wanted to make herself a new dress for the occasion. It had been years since she'd had a new dress, and she wanted something special. She'd already chosen some beautiful pink fabrics and laces...
