the Ceremony
"Dearly beloved..."
"...we are gathered here today..."
"..in the presence of family,"
".. and friends..."
"...to join this man and this woman..."
"..in the bonds of Holy Matrimony."
"Marriage is an honorable estate, and is therefore not to be entered into lightly."
"Therefore, may the promises you make to one another today, be lived out to the end of your lives."
"Tomorrow may bring you the greatest of joys..."
"...but today is the day it all begins."
the Vows
"Baron Alexander, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife,"
".. to live together in matrimony, to love her, to honour her, to comfort her, and to keep her, in sickness and in health,"
"..forsaking all others, from this day forward as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."
"Naomi Elizabeth,"
"...do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband,"
"..to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honour him, to comfort him, and to keep him, in sickness and in health,"
"...forsaking all others, from this day forward as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."
A Promise to Each Other
The Bishop then asked Baron and Naomi to join hands.
"Now repeat after me.."
"I, Baron Alexander, take you Naomi Elizabeth, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward,"
"...for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health,"
" ...to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
"I, Naomi Elizabeth, take you Baron Alexander, to be my husband,"
"...to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse,"
"...for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health..."
"...to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
the Rings
"Baron, place the ring on Naomi's finger, and repeat after me."
Ringo stepped forward with the rings...
Baron slipped the ring on Naomi's finger...
"With this ring, I thee wed..."
"...and pledge you my love, now, always, and forever."
Then Naomi slipped Baron's ring onto his finger...."With this ring, I thee wed..."
"...and pledge you my love, now, always, and forever."
"With the authority invested in me, under the laws of this Kingdom,"
"I now pronounce you husband and wife."
the Blessing
Then Baron and Naomi knelt before the Bishop, to receive the blessing on their marriage.
"May your special union bring great joy to your life."
"May you face every challenge hand-in-hand and side-by-side ready to conquer all obstacles together. "
"May the challenges that life brings your way make your marriage stronger."
"May you always see and encourage the best in each other."
"May love and laughter fill your hearts and your home for all at the days of your lives.
And may you always be each other's best friend and greatest love."
And may you always be each other's best friend and greatest love."
the Recessional
With the ceremony complete...
...the Bishop turned to the guests...
"I now present to you, Sir Baron, and Lady Naomi, husband and wife."
And they started down the aisle...arm in arm together...
...and the flower girls followed behind...
