the Attic
The kids were getting bored outside, so they asked if they could go in the house....
Nyssa wanted to go up and explore the attic.....
Holly wasn't so sure she liked it up there...
"Oh, don't be scared! We come up here all the time!"

Eric noticed the rocking horse....

"That's a really nice looking rocking horse..."
"It's mine. I'd wondered where it had gone..."
Eric climbed on to take a ride.....

Nyssa had gone over to a big trunk...."Want to see what's in here??"
Holly came over to look....
"These are my Mom's old dolls..."
"I sneak up here sometimes, to play with them..."
Eric was busy rocking on his horse.......and Nyssa was playing with her Mom's old dolls, as Holly looked around some more....

She noticed several fancy frames stacked against a pillar. "What are these?"
She started to pull out the biggest fanciest frame, so she could have a better look...
Holly started to pull out the frame....
Eric turned to look....
"It's an old photo of some family."
"Do you know who they are??"
"I have no idea." "I don't recognize them."

"This is your attic, so I thought you would know...."
"Well, let's take downstairs and ask your Mom...."
Meanwhile, down in the parlour, after the younger children had gone up to the attic to play, Lonnie and Lisa had gone inside with Iris to work on their needlepoint. They were all almost finished the projects they'd been working on all winter
Lonnie and Lisa were in awe of Iris' tapestry...
"A few more stitches, and I'll be finished too."

...then the three younger children came in, dragging the big framed photograph...
"Do you know who the people in this picture are??"
They turned it around so everyone could see it....
"We found this up in the attic, and thought you might know who they are..."
Everyone had a good look....
"I don't know. Who are those people?"
"That's me! It's your Grandma and Grandpa, with me and Owen, and our sister, when we were little."
"Well, maybe we should hang it up?"
So Steve took down the painting above the fireplace, and hung up the photo instead....
"Does this look straight??"
"Does this look straight??"

"Yes. That's perfect!"
