A Simple Dress
This dress was designed from an Iplehouse Slim FID bodice pattern, which was altered to fit a SartoriaJ 45APH body. It can be made to fit either one, and from either stretch or woven fabric. *See Notes below.

Notes
1. The bodice 'pattern's themselves are Templates, which do not have seam allowances. They are meant to be traced onto the back of the fabric, and the lines become the stitching lines. The sleeve pattern includes seam allowances.
2. The patterns started out as an FID bodice, with the shorter front dart, and no dart in the back, but it needed a longer front dart and one in the back to better fit a SartoriaJ 45APH body. So the bodice will fit either doll depending on the darts.
3. Naomi's dress was made from a very fine Jersey top. Since it was way too stretchy, I traced the bodice templates onto iron-on interfacing, and ironed that onto the wrong side of the jersey. That way the jersey was supported and wouldn't lose its shape.
4. I made the skirt using the entire bottom width of the old top, leaving the bottom hem intact, so Naomi's skirt is very full. But you can cut your doll's skirt as wide or narrow as you want.
5. The sleeves are meant to be cut from a stretch fabric. If you choose to make the dress from a woven fabric, the doll's hands will need to be removed to get her arms into the sleeves.
