the Reception
It was just an informal reception, so after the cake cutting, everyone began to mingle...
Miho sought out her son and new daughter-in-law, "I want to congratulate you both, and welcome Naomi to our family. It was such a beautiful ceremony, and you looked absolutely radiant."
"I truly hope the two of you will have a long and happy life together. "
"Yes, it was a beautiful ceremony, and I wish the two of you every happiness in your future together."
"Thank you both. That means a lot to us.
And I'd also like to thank you for allowing us to hold the reception in your garden."

"I've always dreamt of a garden wedding, and your garden is so beautiful..."
Then Miho and Dominic excused themselves, as she wanted to introduce Dominic to the other guests.
"Your Majesties, I'd like you to meet someone."
"This is Dominic, my good friend."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir."
"Baron has shared your good news with us, and we've been looking forward to meeting you."
Monica turned to Miho..."And congratulations on the marriage of your son. It was such a lovely ceremony."
Then Lawrence and Monica went to find Baron and Naomi...
"Congratulations, old friend!"
"We hope the two of you will be very happy, and have a wonderful life together."
"Congratulations! I'm so happy Baron found you. The two of you are so perfect for each other."
"Thank you both. And for being so welcoming, and making my transition to your world so wonderful."
Desserts
Meanwhile, the children, who could finally relax, were gathered around the dessert table...

"So, I'm starting with one of these."
More Reception
Miho introduced Dominic to Grace and Jude...
...while all the other guests mingled and chatted...
Miho introduced Dominic to Rex and Bianca....
...while Lawrence and Monica sought out his sister and her husband...
Their sons were the best of friends...
Bonnie was getting tired and clung to her Dad...
More Desserts
All dressed up, and with nothing much to do while their parents mingled and chatted, the children spent much of the afternoon gathered round the dessert table...
Winston would come by and help himself to something every now and then. He loved desserts as much as the children.
The adults would come by now and then as well...

"I'm having another one of these!"
But Jamie was feeling a bit self conscious with his Dad watching.
David didn't have that problem....
His parents were preoccupied elsewhere.....
Winston
Winston had been patiently waiting to talk to Naomi...
...but he knew everyone else wanted to talk to her too, and he didn't want to interrupt.
Then he finally had his chance...
"I just wanted to tell you how beautiful you looked coming up the aisle...."
"I wouldn't have missed your wedding for the world..."
".... and I know you and Baron will be very happy together."
"Thank you Winston! I'm so proud to know you as a friend, and am so happy that you could be here with us today."
Some Wonderful News
Naomi was getting tired, and took Baron aside...
"Do you think we could steal away for a few minutes? I have something I want to tell you."
So they slipped away, and took a stroll in the meadow...alone together.
"I love you so much, and it's been such a wonderful day..."
"...and I have something I want to tell you..."
"What is it?"
"Well...."
"You're going to become a father."
"Really?!? Are you sure? When?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
"Some time in early summer, you will become a father."
And he took her in his arms, "That's wonderful news!"
"I love you so much!"
