Princess Zora
Almost two years ago I was contacted by Ruby Red Fashion Friends to see if I'd be interested in submitting some costume designs for a possible future collaboration. I thought it might be fun, and they sent me a doll to use as my model. Then I immediately started on three totally different costumes in hopes that they would like at least one. I was thrilled when they wanted to produce all three!
The first one to be released as a preorder in June 2024 was Princess Zora, which was their version of my Princess with the Frog.

the Princess and Her Horse
Ruby Red sent me a Princess Zora and she arrived in late October. I was surprised that their limited edition dolls come bald and undressed for the collector to put together. Everything came wrapped in tissue paper, and after dressing her I had to take some photos. First, in her garden with her horse...

Music Practice
I set up a castle interior so my Princess could make herself comfortable, and to see what would interest her.
She chose to try her hand(s) at the harp, and played something for her kitty.
"So, what do you think?"
But, being a cat, he couldn't exactly say anything....so she just kept on 'playing'....
Reading
Princess Zora loved reading and looking at picture books with her cat...
"How would you like to look at my new picture book with me?"
"It's about dragons."
But what her cat really liked was when she would read to him...

Princess Zora was friends with all the creatures in her father's realm. Even the dragons.
the Golden Ball
The Princess enjoyed playing in the castle garden, and one day she dropped her golden ball into the fountain. A little green frog appeared, and said he'd rescue her ball....on one condition. That she promise to be friends with him, and take him inside the castle to live with her. So she reluctantly agreed, and the frog rescued her ball...
"Here's your ball..."
"Thank you..."
"But now," continued the frog....
"You must take me with you to live in the castle with you, just as you promised."
The Princess regretted having agreed to the frog's terms.....
But she had been well bred, and a promise was a promise. So she picked him up....
After all, maybe it wouldn't be so bad having a frog for a friend....
Life With A Frog
A promise is a promise, so Princess Zora took the frog inside the castle with her...
From that moment on, he had to be included in everything she did.
A place was set for him at the table for every meal....
He preferred fruits and vegetables accompanied with some protein....
The Princess had always been served her meals alone in her room,

and she found it nice to have someone to talk to for a change.
And he'd keep her entertained with tales of his fellow creatures out in the castle garden.
