Revisiting Christmas at the North Pole
My sister and I were in the process of turning the story from 2018 into a book, but it needed several new additional scenes photographed, so I decided to post them here along with short reference to the original story as needed.
Heading to the North Pole
Cinnamon, one of the elves from the North Pole, along with Snowball, the polar bear cub, had gone to fetch the Wizard
and escort him up north to resume his seasonal job as Santa.
The Wizard had invited Willie to come along...
It was quite some journey through the snow....
but they eventually arrived at his winter residence at the North Pole.
In the Stable
They headed into the stable to warm the horses after their long trek through the snow...
I't's nice to be here again."
Willie went to get some carrots and apples...
...while the Wizard unsaddled the horses and put them in their stalls.
Then Cinnamon offered them to the horses....
"We're Back!"
After making sure the horses were comfortable, the Wizard and his companions went into the workshop, and as he stepped through the door he became Santa Claus. "We're back!" he announced.
His granddaughter gave him a big hug. ""I'm so glad you're back."
"And who might you be?"
Santa introduced Willie to all the elves. "She's going to be helping us out this year."
and they presented her with her own little elf outfit...
"How do I look?"
Working Hard
The next few weeks the workshop was a very busy place....
Willie helped sew dozens of stockings....
While Cinnamon stuffed them....
There were lists to check...
...and toys to stuff.
Then Willie would transport them to packaging....
Almost Done
One day Winston came for a visit...
...and the elves presented him with a special stocking made just for him....
The elves continued to work hard as Christmas Eve got ever closer...
Even Santa would help out where needed....
Then, on Christmas Eve, with the last of the animals stuffed, Santa took a look around. "Well, it looks like we are all done! Now we just have to pack everything into the sleigh, and then we can relax for a few hours before it's time for me to leave."
Loading the Sleigh
So, they all headed to the stable to load up the sleigh. It was a huge task as there were mountains of gifts.
Cartloads of presents were brought in from the storerooms,
but Santa's sacks were magic and would be able to hold everything.
But they had to be packed in the correct order. So Paige was in charge of making sure all the gifts were being put into the sacks in the order they would be delivered, with the last ones to be delivered going in first.
Finished Packing
The elves were very organized, having done the packing many times before, and it didn’t take them that long to get everything packed into the sleigh. Santa went over to Paige who double checked her list.
“It looks like we are all done.” she announced.
“Great job everyone!’ said Santa, “Now let’s go relax for a while
So, they headed back to the workshop for their annual staff photo....
...and then to enjoy their annual Christmas Eve puppet show....
Christmas Eve
Well, it was finally time for Santa to get dressed, and get ready to leave.
"So, you have to go around the whole world??" asked Winston
"So, you have to go around the whole world??" asked Winston
"Well, no. I just go to a couple of countries,“ he replied, “like Canada, the United States, and a couple of other ones. I have several brothers and sisters who deliver Holiday gifts to many of the other countries. Like Sinterklaas in the Netherlands; Kris Kringle in Germany, Austria & Hungary; Father Frost and his Granddaughter in the Russian countries; Father Christmas in England; Le Befana in Italy; and the Three Magi in the Spanish countries. Some people mistakenly call all of us 'Santa Claus', and use our names interchangeably, but we are all entirely different people."
The elves were gathered around the globe of the whole world. "So, where on there are we exactly?"asked Willie.
"Right here, near the very top,” Santa pointed, “on the northern-most island in Canada … "

Just like every other Christmas Eve, the workshop had been transformed into a party room, so the elves could celebrate another year well done
“This year you'll have a special treat,” said Santa, “since Winston here offered to cater your party this year. I know he's been working very hard in the kitchen the past few days, and everything sure smelled amazing."
“Anyway, it's time to go. So, have fun everyone! And I'll see you all again tomorrow."

Narae accompanied her grandfather to the stable to see him off.
“Do you need any help?” she asked.
“No thanks, I’m fine.” he replied.
"The reindeer are already harnessed and waiting outside, so I can manage it by myself.”
Narae hugged him.
“Be careful tonight, and don’t take any unnecessary chances.”
Then Santa headed towards the door.
Narae watched him leave, “Good luck Grandpa. I love you! And I’ll see you in the morning.”
Christmas Eve Party
It was a tradition that every Christmas Eve, while Santa was away all night making his deliveries, the rest of the staff would have a party. All the workshop tables and chairs would be lined up into one big, long table, and covered with all kinds of yummy things to eat.
This year they were in for a special treat, since Winston had offered to make all the goodies.
"Would you like a cupcake?” he offered, “It's my own personal recipe."
"Yes, please!” said Tillie, “They look really yummy!!"

It was nice for all the elves to just sit and relax, after all the hard work the past few weeks.
