Mother Nature
This outfit was made as part of the "Fun Pattern Challenge" on Resin Cafe. The pattern was designed by Magalie Dawson of MHD Designs. I was originally going to make the outfit for one of my Kaye Wiggs girls, but since they were both away at the time, my JID Asa stepped in as model instead. I altered the bodice pattern so it dipped down in front, added some tiny darts, changed the straps, and lengthened the skirt. The theme was 'Mother Nature' and part of the challenge was to recycle some used clothing as part of the outfit. I used an embroidered, semi-sheer, olive green skirt for my main dress fabric. Pieces of yarn were machine-stitched along the hemline, and dozens of small fabric leaves and beads were hand-sewn over top. The skirt lining was made into a separate underskirt.
