Emily and Nuri

Happy Birthday!

It was one of my friend's birthdays and I knew she loved my baby dragons, so I took some photos for her birthday.

I couldn't decide between two birthday cakes, so took photos of the dragons with both.

Through the Meadow

One day Saphira and the children were invited to Auntie Agnes' place for the afternoon. Well, Agnes wasn't really their actual 'aunt' but they called her that out of respect.  It was their first outing to visit someone, and Winston decided he'd better come along just to make sure everyone actually got there...
Picture
The children were all rather excited to be going to visit their auntie...

Winston turned to Saphira, "I think you'll be okay with them by yourself from here."
Picture
"I'll be back in a few hours to help you herd them back home."
Picture
"Okay, come along now children."
Picture
"Auntie Agnes is waiting for us."

"Coming Mom!!"

A Visit with Auntie Agnes

When Saphira and the children arrived they joined Agnes out in her garden.
Picture
She had all kinds of delicious treats for them....
Picture
..and even some toys for them to play with in case they got bored...

Picture
Scorch couldn't reach the goodies on the table very well...and wanted to see what else was up there....
Picture
Agnes offered to pass him something, but Nuri and Elliot jumped in ahead of him...
Picture
...leaving Sparkle seated at the table.
Picture
Picture
Saphira was pleased with her daughter's behaviour...
Picture
...but a bit annoyed and embarrassed by the others' manners.
Picture
"All right children. Don't push and crowd Auntie Agnes. You'll all get your turn. There's plenty for everyone."

Title?

Elliot wanted to see what all else was on the table, so Agnes picked him up...
Picture
Which, of course, meant that his siblings wanted up on her lap as well...
Picture
Meanwhile Sparkle was taking full advantage of the view from the other side of the table.

Nuri and Scorch wanted up on Agnes' lap....
Picture
...but Elliot wasn't moving....
Picture
Picture
There was room for just one more little dragon, so she picked up Scorch...
Picture
So he and Elliot had a much better view of treats on the table...
Picture

Picture
But that left Nuri...
Picture

Picture
Picture
"Okay you two....Take some treats, and then let your sister have a turn!"

But Nuri wasn't so much interested in treats.
She just wanted to be closer to her favourite Auntie.

Fun in the Flowers

It was late spring and the locust trees were dropping their spent flowers everywhere. The fallen flowers covered everything. Avery and Emily were sent out to rake them up. But then the baby dragons arrived....
Picture
"What are you guys doing?"
Picture
"Mom wants us to rake up all the flowers..."
Picture
"...and there's an awful lot of them!"
Picture
Picture
Picture
"Well, I can think of something much more fun to do with them.."
Picture
...and she jumped right in...
Picture
...and her siblings followed suit...
Picture
Picture
Emily tried to keep on sweeping...
Picture
..but then Avery decided to join the dragons...
Picture
Picture
Picture
Picture
There was no point in continuing sweeping.

So she just gave up.
