Medieval Times
I was photographing Barin's introduction to Grace, and noticed my three little BIDs standing around in their Medieval dresses, so thought I'd try include them in the scene...
I had always expected that the BIDs wouldn't work with the FIDs. But it turns out that the BIDs are perfect height-wise, and even though their heads are a larger scale, I find they work well enough together. So that opens up all kinds of story possibilities.
More KIDs
After introducing some BIDs to my FIDs, it was time to try some KIDs. I only have two Medieval Fantasy outfits that size, so chose the two KIDs who aren't attached to any families already - David and Paige. Then put them into the castle scene with all my FIDs....
Bianca was at the table talking with Lawrence and Monica....
Grace and Baron were getting to know each other better....
While all the children were gathered round the King's dog....
"Excuse me ladies, I need to go see if the dog is okay..."
And he went over to see that everyone was getting acquainted safely....
"He's a wolf, isn't he??"
"Yes he's a wolf, but he'd never hurt any of you..."
Meanwhile Paige had gone over to the table with all the ladies....
Rosie in Gold
I had Yvette's golden gown just lying around, and decided to try it on Rosie, since she was standing all by herself in the display case, stuck back in Outlander time....
I thought maybe she could be a Lady in Waiting to the Queen, but she doesn't look the part. I did some photos of the two Raccoon ladies together....
That's when the difference between the two of them really struck me. I've always loved Monica, and felt she fitted in fine with my Iplehouse crew. Maybe it's her wider open eyes. Rosie's eyes, on the other hand, are narrower and more squinted.....
.... and make her look like her thoughts are elsewhere and she's planning something, and not necessarily something good. She definitely does not look like Lady-in-Waiting material.
In fact I'm finding the golden gown deceptively 'innocent' looking on her. Maybe she needs something darker? And then she can be the Queen's sister. Maybe even an evil sister. I don't know. I'm still trying to figure some of these ladies out.
Then I took a photo of my entire medieval group....
Going Riding
It was time to teach his kids how to ride, so Lawrence introduced them to his horse.....
He decided that they were still too young to ride a full grown horse, and would definitely need something smaller....
Sisters on Horseback
Bianca and Yvette went for a little ride through a meadow of spring flowers....
