Kaye Wiggs Everyday
A collection of photo shoots featuring my Kaye Wiggs dolls....
the Big Snow
On January 17th we had our first real Blizzard in years, with over 40 cm of snow. It took more than two days to dig out, and two little girls came out to help....
The road was plowed yesterday, and with the 'warmer' temperature today, it was finally clear....
Most people had cleared their sidewalks so they were clear too....
...well not in this direction....
But there was still plenty up the front walk to the house that needed moving....
The girls decided that shovelling this much snow was definitely no fun....
Hope's Birthday
April 18th was the tenth anniversary of Hope's arrival. I'd never thrown her a birthday party, so figured it was high time that I at least took some birthday portraits...
Her dress was made from one I made for my daughter to wear on one of her birthdays way back when she was very little.
Fairies in the Scillas
I've been trying to grow a patch of scillas in my back lawn, and they are starting to fill in quite nicely. I figured with bad weather in the forecast, I didn't know if they'd survive. And even if they did, scillas just keep getting taller and taller until their leaves totally hide the flowers. So even though it was very cold, I took out three little fairies.

Happy Birthday Layla!
April 20th is the eleventh anniversary of my Fair Layla's arrival, and she's another of my older dolls who has never celebrated a birthday. Until now....
Her dress was made from a dress I wore when I was three years old. My Mom had saved the dress, and I had it in a box for decades, before I came to the conclusion that there was no point having it in a box out of sight, and that the dress wouldn't mean anything to anyone other than me, so why not remake it in a smaller version for my dolls, where I could see it and enjoy it all the time?
I must say that making that first cut was rather difficult, but I was really happy with how it turned out. So now my Layla is a 'mini me'.

Little Lambs
I saw some lambs at the Dollar store, and thought they'd make cute friends for the fairies in my scillas. So I bought two, touched up their faces, and let everyone get acquainted...
Fairies in the Woods
It's back to 'reality' with photos of some fairies I spotted in my sister's backyard.....
Yellow Roses
One of the flower arrangements I received for my birthday last month, had some lovely little yellow roses, which instead of just dropping all their petals, just drooped and totally dried up. So I thought I'd use them in some photos.

Lenny's New Look
I've been getting a lot of work on my dolls done lately. It's been over two and a half years since my friend Charie was able to take any of my dolls, and now that she finally can again, I have a long list of dolls needing some work. Most need body blushing and manicures, especially the fair resin ones, but some also needed a bit of faceup work. One of those was Little Lenny.
Here's what she looked like when I won her...

...and here's what she looks like now. Still a bit sad, but not nearly so utterly depressed looking.
She got darker eye shading and lashes, and more blush on her cheeks. She also needed darker eyes to go with the new look, so ended up with the brown glass eyes she originally came with. She also had her body blushed and was given a manicure and pedicure...
