Kassia, Out and About

the Dress

Leona, one of Kassia's friends, was going to renew her wedding vows, but she didn't have a wedding dress,
or anything else suitable for the occasion. So Kassia offered to let Leona borrow her big white gown...

"Thanks so much for letting me borrow your dress."

"I'm only too happy to help. In fact it's actually nice to get
out of that
cumbersome gown every once in a while."
"When Owen suggested we renew our vows, I almost panicked, because I knew my wedding gown wouldn't fit me anymore.  "

"It is so beautiful! It's like a fairy princess gown."

"Here, can't forget the shoes."
"The girls are going to love it!

Going Shopping

Taking advantage of her newfound freedom, unencumbered by her huge white dress,
Kassia decided to go out and about, exploring town - and discover the joys of shopping.....

At the Beach

One morning, Kassia wanted to go check out the lake. It would seem that the water level had
gone down a little, since the entire parking lot wasn't completely under water anymore..

...and as the water levels were going down a bit, the beach was slowly starting to get wider again too....

Kassia set up a chair on the beach.         "I wonder who made that sand castle?"

Kassia was relaxing in the sun at the beach...
It was getting a bit hot.....

Soon two girls came walking up the beach...."That's our sand castle."

Her little sister got down, and started working on the castle again....

"It sure is a beautiful day..."

"Would any of you like a donut?"

Trying Some Fast Food

Another thing on Kassia's 'to-do' list was to sample some more junk food.  Burger King looked like as good a place as any....

Dinner in the Gardens

Nothing like a good book, and something to eat, for a pleasant evening in the park....

After a quick dinner, and reading a few more chapters in her book, Kassia decided to go explore the Ruins Garden a little further.

Many of the ruins - like the 'Greek Theatre' - were occupied with portrait photographers and their subjects,
so Kassia tried to stay out of their way..

"Nice place though. I'll have to come back some day, in my white gown."

One Last Treat

It was the last evening of Kassia's 'freedom', and she decided that she wanted (needed) a treat.
So she picked up a Banana Split at Dairy Queen....
Picture
Kassia had been away from home for some time now, and it was finally time to go back.
But, did she really want to?  Being a 'contemporary' girl had been so liberating....
Picture
Did she really want to put her big white dress back on, and go back to the castle???

But she had missed the people back home, especially her boyfriend, Adrian.

Time to Go Back

Kassia started to get dressed, but it was a complicated gown, made up of many layers and separate pieces.....
Picture
Her boyfriend, Prince Adrian arrived to pick her up.
"What, you aren't ready yet?"

"This isn't the easiest dress to put on all by myself..."
Picture
Picture
"Well, maybe I can help..."
Picture
"Breathe in."
Picture
'Did you have a good time?"
Picture
Picture
"Yes, I had a really great time.  It was a lot of fun."
Picture
"I really missed you."
Picture
"You weren't kidding when you said this dress wasn't so easy to put on...."
Picture
"But we need to hurry, as there's a ball at the Charmings this evening, and we are already late."
Picture
"Couldn't we just stay home, and watch a movie?  I picked up some new ones."
Picture
Picture
"These look really good, but we promised that we'd go to their party."
Picture
"Sigh.....all this 'happily ever after' stuff isn't what it's cracked up to be..."
Picture
Picture
"....I wonder if anyone else would like to borrow a wedding dress any time soon?""
